Fingerstyle Guitar Lessons

It’s time to continue on with our fingerstyle guitar lessons picking up where the last post left off. Since it’s the holiday season I have decided to start with a simple version of Jingle Bells.

If you missed the last lesson and you are new to fingerstyle guitar I would suggest you go and watch it first. There are two fingerstyle guitar lessons there that will help you navigate this lesson. Here is the link.

Here is the video for Jingle Bells. As I mentioned in the last post this is in the Chet Atkins style, one of my favorite guitarists.

    BOB,
Thank you for the lessons. I have really learned to enjoy the material that you have sold to us.
This series on finger picking is lots of fun, and only getting better from what I can see of the coming lessons. I am hoping that I will learn enough from your teaching to be able to teach children someday. Thanks for the inspiration my friend. Macon

Bob: THANK YOU for a great lesson (jingle Bells)and especially for TABS. In lesson you go from F to D7 to G7,barre. Hard to tell the fingering of the D7 from viewing. Know it is hard for someone as good as you to not understand how hard it is to see/play a simple sequence like this, but we are trying…again THANKS for your part in helping us progress…and Happy Holidays to you and yours!

Great lessons you are a natural teacher, I have been playing for over 50 years, and you are never too old to learn something new. And your site is always welcome.

    As always, great lessons!

I am proud owner of Pentatonic Power and Griff Hamlin\\\’s
Blues Guitar Unleashed. I try to apply the lessons in the melodic patterns in Pentatonic Power to lessons in Blues Unleashed, they are a challenge, but it sure is a lot of fun.

Thanx for all your hard work. I am never bored.

    IHS,
    JulioRay,
